Mattress Guides by Sleep Problem

Instead of browsing dozens of nearly identical beds, choose the guide that matches the problem you are actually trying to solve.

If pressure is the problem

Look at surface conformity and firmness together. A very firm mattress can concentrate pressure, while a deeply soft bed may let heavier areas drop too far. Side sleepers usually need enough give for the shoulder without losing waist support. Our pressure-relief articles explain why body weight changes the result.

If heat is the problem

Do not rely on a single “cooling” fabric claim. Consider the whole stack: mattress foams, protector, sheets, duvet, pajamas and room airflow. Springs can create more open space inside a mattress, but thick foam comfort layers and waterproof covers may still dominate the feel.

If movement is the problem

Partners who keep waking each other should compare motion isolation with ease of movement. Slow-response foam can absorb vibration, yet some sleepers dislike feeling held in place. Edge support also matters when two people use the full width.

If fit is the problem

Measure the room and delivery route before upgrading size. A king offers width, but it also changes sheet costs, frame requirements and walking clearance. Our size guide provides a practical checklist.
